Fabric

An innovative double-sided fabric to enhance your performance, keep you dry and give the extra cool effect with a weight of just ca. 150 gr/m2. (4,42 oz/yd2).

On the inside, new T400® technology by LYCRA® makes your undershirt comfortably elastic and ensures, that it will not twist, shrink or lose its shape. Additionally this yarn has an X-shaped cross section that helps to wick moisture from your body and move it to the outer layer.

The outer layer has been finished with rayon viscose for a more natural touch and look. We used a very specific version called SIRO to prevent pilling and wrinkles, so that your garments have a longer life-span. Since this yarn is even more absorbent than cotton, it helps to push humidity away from your body.

Standard undershirt are usually made of 100% cotton.

Seams

We only used the minimal amount of seams to link the panels together and ensure your comfort and fit. Most seams are flat, made on a special machine. During design process we used 3D body scanning technology to find the proper location of the seams and shapes of the panels.

Finishing seams on the bottom of the undershirt and at the end of the sleeves are tripled to protect your garment from tearing. Side seams run towards your belly button, which gives you more comfort in the back side of the undershirt and does not double with the seams of your shirt, to avoid unnecessary bulkiness on the sides.

You won’t believe how comfortable it is until you wear it for the first time.

Neck

You can either chose the crew neck or the V neck.

Some say, that an undershirt is like your underpants – should never pop out.

We say – it depends of your style. If you are more into a rebel or student look – feel free to wear crew neck under an unbuttoned shirt. Also if you have excessive chest hair, very visible tattoos or a bad skin condition, that you would like to cover, the crew neck is a better choice for you. In a business outfit, crew neck is perfect when you are wearing a tie.

V-neck is a better choice for those of you, who usually leave 1-2 buttons opened.

If you prefer the Italian macho or professional look, rather opt for the V-neck. Ours has been specifically designed with a gap of 17 cm, to allow you open the additional button on hotter days or less formal situations.

Both styles have been finished in a different way for superb comfort and less visibility under the shirt.

Sleeves

We are especially proud of this element, because it is very innovative. As a basis, we used a “raglan construction”, that has been first used in the times of the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 to facilitate sword fighting, but we seriously modified the original for maximum comfort. Both sleeves and the entire back of the undershirt is 1 panel without seams!

Well, we hope that you won’t have to fight for your life in our undershirts, but the extra comfort is everyday situations is always a positive thing especially when carrying a heavy backpack. Any additional seam might irritate the skin.

Their length has also been optimized to avoid bunching caused by riding up and to stay hidden under a polo shirt – even with a modern cut. At the same time, they provide great sweat protection for the outer garments.

 

Length

After studying over 100 garments available worldwide, we chose the optimal length that allows the undershirt to stay tucked in through the day and to eliminate bunching above the belt line. It should fit over 85% of the population with a BMI lower than 30.

However if you are a true beer lover and never skip the dessert, we suggest to size up to make sure, that the undershirt stays in your pants.

The back of the undershirt is significantly longer than the front to help it stay on place when tucked in your pants.

Colors

There are 3 colors available – each of them carefully studied.

GHOST is a classic white. We tried to stay as close as possible to the color of snow (#f8f8ff), because this gives a very clean, hygienic look. It is the best choice if you want a part of your undershirt to be visible in the neck area of your outfit. In this case the perfect combination is a GHOST CREW NECK version.

SANDSTORM AND GUNMETAL colors were designed basing on the dermatological studies of Thomas B. Fitzpatrick. It was a Harvard scholar, who in 1975 presented a classification for human skin phototypes, which is widely used today for skin analysis purposes. Both colors are designed to match as many skin shades as possible and make your BRO undershirt literally disappear under your shirt.

If you are a Caucasian type (like our model Lucas) with a lighter skin color, you probably should choose Sandstorm. If you skin is rather dark (like our model Deante) your best choice would be Gunmetal.

Unbreakable rule:
YOU SHOULD NEVER PUT A WHITE UNDERSHIRT UNDER A WHITE SHIRT, BECAUSE YOU’LL END UP LOOKING RIDICULOUS.

 

Tagless design

We are proud of our logo so we decided that it should find a place on the garment. The location has been chosen specifically to stay hidden in your trousers through the day. We are also legally obliged to put some information on the garments with yarn composition and care instructions.

For both applications we studied all options available chosing a technology and colors, that would be long lasting even after several washes, not irritate your skin and not be visible on the outside layer. You will find absolutely no sew-in labels in our garments.

 

ATTENTION: You only need to be careful at ironing, because touching the applications with a hot plate will melt them. Therefore you should always iron them on the left side of through a cloth. If we discover a better option, we will implement it right away!

Gecko dots™

This is an great add-on for extra-functionality. Especially designed for those of you, who always wear you shirts tucked in. If you are one of those guys, you probably know what happens to your shirt, when raising your arms. The shirt goes out from the trousers and you constantly keep pushing it back in. Our gecko grippers help to solve this problem.

They provide the extra friction, that helps to keep your shirt in place. If on the other hand you prefer to wear you shirt in a more casual way, you would probably choose the standard version.
