Brand history

We are a Łódź-based family business. It couldn’t be more true. We’ve been Lodzermensch for several generations, and we’ve been involved in textile business for as long as we can remember.

Mecfibre Poland (owner of the BRO brand) was founded in 1991 and has been operating continuously since then. Marian Tadeuszak began his textile career in the early 1970s. We continue to benefit from his extensive knowledge to this day. Barbara Tadeuszak, with her entrepreneurial spirit, actively participated in the development of the Polish hosiery industry, supporting emerging manufacturers. She remains a minority shareholder in the company. However, both are now in well-deserved retirement and no longer actively involved in the company’s operations.

Marcin Tadeuszak joined the company in 2005, combining its existing know-how with the offerings and organizational culture of the Italian yarn manufacturer, the Contifibre/Fulgar group. This led to the separation of Contifibre Poland, one of the largest distributors of polyamide, polyester, and spandex yarns in Central and Eastern Europe. Contifibre offers over 750 different polyamide products and is the exclusive representative of LYCRA® fiber.

Mecfibre remains active, focusing on technical raw materials and recently also attempting to introduce thermoregulatory functional zero compromise clothing to the market, under the BRO UNDERWEAR and BRO MOTOGEAR brands.
